Personal Profile
After starting textile studies at Long Beach State University in the early 70’s I completed my B.A. in Fine Arts. Early years were devoted to creative weaving and graphic design I then migrated towards Quilting. I have full time California Teaching Credential in Textiles and Art for Adult Education.
Currently I teach full time at Simi Valley Adult School, instructing over 100 student ranging in age from their 20’s to 90’s. I’m privileged to have vast amount of resources for inspiration and knowledge in all phases of quilt making through my friendship groups and quilt guilds.
I currently am membership chair of SCCQG. I held office as President, Treasurer and Parliamentarian of Conejo Valley Quilters in Conejo Valley. I have also been involved with Simi Valley Quilters.
I have had the good fortune to be sponsored as “One Woman” shows at various locations and have enjoyed being received into numerous juried quilt shows - including Houston International, Pacific International (3x) and Road to California (3x) . A special honor was the acceptance of one of my qulits designed for President Clinton with his personal note of thanks.
Lecturers and workshops at quilt guilds in Southern California have been delivered for ten years. I continue to design custom commissioned quilts for individuals and decorators across the country. I also teach at various quilt shops
